Fitness Assessment: we perform submaximal fitness testing on individuals of low to moderate cardiovascular, metabolic and pulmonary risk who have been cleared for independent exercise. Testing evaluates cardiorespiratory endurance, muscular strength, muscular endurance, flexibility, and body composition. Assessments are age and gender appropriate, and are designed to identify physical strengths and weaknesses, functional fitness age, biological fitness age, and determine the risk of disability.

Exercise Prescription: our individualized workout plans include aerobic, resistance, and flexibility exercises that are consistent with your fitness level and personal objectives. We emphasize safety and progress at a rate that avoids injury and muscle soreness. You will receive a printed workout sheet with photos detailing the exercise movements. Your program will also be customized to the workout location of your choice: your home, our fitness facility, a commercial gym, or a community-based fitness center.

One-on-One Personal Training: individual training sessions with our ACSM-certified personal trainer include warm-up, focused exercise, and cool-down periods within the hour-long session. You will progress safely and slowly, minimizing any chance of injury or muscle soreness. After setting fitness goals with your trainer, you will progress at a rate that is both challenging and enjoyable. Remember – the only reason anyone maintains a log-term fitness program is because they feel better now!

Small Group Personal Training: up to 5 people in a class for these hour-long training sessions that include warm-up, circuit training, and cool-down periods. Not only are Small Group sessions more affordable, but they also add a social dimension to the exercise experience. Slip & Fall Program: this set of hour-long group classes, eight in all, are designed to improve the strength, balance, and neuromotor skills of those at greatest risk of falling or slipping. These include people who are deconditioned and may also include frail and elderly adults.

Back Pain Relief Program: members of this program meet twice per week for four weeks in hour-long group sessions. Class exercises focus on improving strength and flexibility in the muscles of the hips, lower back, and abdomen. This program is not recommended for those suffering from acute back pain, but more for those with a lingering or intermittent cause of concern.
